Aloha Digital is a small ad-tech firm started by Pocketmath to support its growing business. It acts as Pocketmath's sister company to deal and support a specific business portfolio. The company required a simple branding as well as a web front and a bidding platform.
I was tasked with producing a quick branding solution for Aloha Digital. I lead a group of designers to create a brand system, to develop its brand kit, and to deploy a new website. Working closely with the stakeholders to refine the selected design, the brand kit was created in less than two months.
The team started the project by framing the brief into design keywords that were translated into moodboards. This exercise helped the team to establish the feel and set the foundation for exploring concepts.
I conducted a two-day workshop to conceptualize the new logo designs. At the end of the first day, three concepts were chosen for further development. The team incorporated name card designs to help put the new logos into perspective allowing the stakeholders to more easily pick the final logo.
From the lessons learned from the Pocketmath project, we created a basic brand kit that included logo assets, name cards, presentation and documentation templates, letterhead, and a responsive website.
Using the brand assets created, I worked with one of the designers to conceptualize the information architecture (IA) and translated this IA into wireframes. We tested the wireframes internally, and based on these refined wireframes, visual elements were added into a final, high-fidelity wireframe. We incorporated responsive design to allow the website to be displayed properly over different mobile devices.
